Massage Guide for First-Time Guests in Las Vegas, NV.
Planning your first massage visit in Las Vegas? This short guide from Desert Relax SPA on Desert Inn Rd walks you through how to choose a massage service, 30 vs 60 minute sessions, pricing, what to expect at the door, and how to book by chat or phone β written for first-timers who want a simple, clean, off-Strip visit instead of a hotel resort upsell.

What to expect at a massage spa.
You arrive, fill out a one-page form, change into the table sheet (underwear OK), lay down face-down with face in the cradle, and the therapist works the muscles you tell them are tight. 60 minutes is a full body; 30 minutes is one area. Light to firm pressure β you set the level. Cash, cards, Apple Pay all accepted. No upsells.
How much does a massage cost in Las Vegas?
At Desert Relax SPA, two simple lengths. Same price across all six services.
No upsells, no memberships, no surprise fees. Gratuity appreciated, never required.
How to choose a massage service.
Pick by how you feel today. We can switch mid-session if you change your mind.
Just relax
Swedish or Relaxation β long, gentle, full-body strokes.
Tight knots
Deep Tissue β slow, focused pressure on specific spots.
Sensory reset
Aromatherapy β warm essential oils, scent-driven calm.
Date together
Couples Massage β two therapists, one quiet room.
30 minute vs 60 minute massage.
30 minutes is best for:
- One focused area β neck and shoulders, lower back, or feet
- Lunch break or quick afternoon stop between conventions
- Trying a service for the first time on a tight schedule
60 minutes is best for:
- Full-body relaxation after a long flight
- First-time guests (most popular pick)
- Multiple tight areas β back + shoulders + neck
- True mental unwind after a long Las Vegas day
Most Las Vegas first-timers book the 60-minute. If unsure, chat with us and we'll suggest based on what you describe.
What to expect on your first time massage visit.
1. Arrive 5 minutes early. Park free in front of the door at 1700 E Desert Inn Rd #301. Walk in β the reception is right inside.
2. Quick form. One-page intake. Tell us about any injuries, allergies, areas to focus on. Skip anything not relevant.
3. Private room. Your therapist shows you the room. We leave while you change. Undress to your comfort β underwear stays on for most guests. Slide under the sheet, lay face down with face in the cradle.
4. Session begins. The therapist knocks before entering. They confirm pressure level and focus areas. Speak up anytime β "more pressure on this spot", "less on the lower back", "skip the feet" β we adjust on the spot.
5. Session ends. Therapist tells you a few minutes left. They leave the room. You dress slowly, sit up, drink water. Walk out feeling lighter.
6. Pay at reception. Cash, cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay. Gratuity in cash is appreciated, never required.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Both work at Desert Relax SPA. Walk-ins are welcome when a room is open β easy mid-day or late evening. For same-day massage appointments on FridayβSunday afternoons, especially during conventions, we recommend texting a few hours ahead.
Massage after work? After the casino closes? Red-eye landed at 3 AM? We're open 24 hours, every day. A 9 PM walk-in is common for casino staff coming off shift β and so is a 3 AM walk-in from a late flight. Same-day booking: chat anytime, day or night.
Fastest way to book: Text us at (702) 601-2960 with your name, the service, and a rough time. Our front desk reviews messages and replies as soon as possible. For full hours, address and Google Maps link, see our Contact page.
Example chat: "Hi β 60-min Swedish, Saturday at 4 pm if open. Name: Mike."
What to wear to a massage.
Wear whatever's comfortable to and from. You'll change at the spa. Most guests keep underwear on; some prefer fully undressed under the sheet. Either way, you stay covered β the therapist only un-drapes the section being worked on.
Skip heavy jewelry, contact lenses you don't want to remove, or anything you'd worry about losing. We provide clean towels, fresh linens, and a robe if you'd like one. Leave valuables at the hotel.
How much to tip a massage therapist?
Gratuity is appreciated but never required. There's no standard amount β guests tip what feels right. We do not add tips to the bill, and the therapist is paid the same regardless. Cash tip directly to your therapist if you want to express thanks; we'll never push for it.
A real store, peaceful atmosphere.
